Building on the considerable successes of Phase I of the Health Security Partnership in Africa (HSPA), this Phase II project will leverage the groundbreaking partnership between the World Health Organization’s Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence (WHO Hub) and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) to further strengthen biosecurity and integrated disease surveillance capacities. This includes event-based surveillance, epidemic intelligence, and genomic surveillance, to prevent, detect and respond to biological threats in Africa.
