Published purpose

This project aims to support Convergence to strengthen and scale the global blended finance ecosystem for increased mobilized private capital towards sustainable development and poverty reduction in emerging markets and developing economies. It does so through supporting enhanced data transparency and benchmarking activities, expanding capacity building activities, ensuring regional representation, and strengthening policy engagement and thought leadership on blended finance. In turn, these activities contribute to a more enabling environment for private investments in emerging economies by lowering barriers to entry, more standardized approaches across actors, and increase the supply of high-quality, investible opportunities.
