Published purpose

This project seeks to strengthen radiological security in Cambodia. It supports activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of law enforcement to detect the illicit trafficking of radioactive material. Project activities include: (1) providing radiation detection equipment to the National Authority for the Prohibition of Chemical, Nuclear, Biological and Radiological Weapons of the Kingdom of Cambodia (NACW); (2) delivering a training on equipment operation, standard operating procedures on interdictions, and related field drills; (3) supporting the development of standard operating procedures for the effective use and deployment of the equipment; and (4) implementing a series of scenario-based field exercises to test readiness and identify gaps in training, organizational response, and procedures.
