Published purpose
This contribution supports the varied opportunities for Akwesasne community members to continue to access Thousand Islands National Park and other Parks Canada administered places in Eastern Ontario to engage on topics that include knowledge sharing through environmental and cultural education, cultural camps, and harvesting activities. Additionally, the contribution will help support broad consultation on issues of joint importance, including conservation, infrastructure projects and visitor experiences and continue the relationship building that has occurred over the last 20 years.
