Published purpose

The Haiti Revenue Generation project supports the Haitian government's ability to generate revenue. It provides technical assistance to improve customs and tax institutions in Haiti. The technical assistance and equipment provided by this project help to modernize the Customs Administration and the Tax Administration, enabling an increase in government revenues. The project is implemented by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) which supports the Haitian Customs Administration; and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) which supports the Haitian Tax Administration. This project has two components: technical assistance and equipment procurement. The project has been separated in two components for administrative reasons. For this component, equipment procurement, the project supports the identification of information technology equipment and needs for the modernisation of tax and customs administration, and the procurement and installation of equipment to support tax and customs reforms.
