Published purpose
Build a “new home” for the Islandora community members that have basic open repository requirements, limited technical resources and limited budgets. Almost every current implementation of Islandora in existence would be on a separate codebase and hosted on a different infrastructure. Therefore, this initiative needs to be flexible to accommodate many different use cases, object types and code bases in a cost-effective manner.
