Published purpose
This project aims to support and assist Burkina Faso law enforcement personnel with United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS). This is done to better detect and mitigate improvised explosive device (IED) attacks to protect local communities. Project activities include: (1) training law enforcement and security agencies (LESA) on countering IED threats. This includes search and detect courses and first aid training; (2) providing basic IED equipment to security forces; and (3) providing training and information sessions on IED awareness o community members.
