Published purpose
The project seeks to increase the number of female police officers within the Haitian National Police (HNP), which will help improve security and peace in the country, particularly in the project’s target areas. The project’s activities will allow young women, primarily from at-risk areas with prevailing violence and insecurity, to join the HNP and contribute to the country’s peace and security efforts. The project will also help advance intervention practices and the policing and security culture in Haiti by integrating more women into its police forces.
