Published purpose
This project aims to reduce drug-related security threats for persons in selected beneficiary countries and Canadians. Project activities include: (1) participation in 6 counterdrug regional/international events to present the Gender Equality in Counterdrug Law Enforcement Agencies (GENLEA) Program and Handbook; (2) delivering one regional training on operational counterdrug intelligence for women in law enforcement through the Regional Counterdrug Intelligence School of the Americas; and (3) delivering 2 regional trainings on the identification and control of precursor chemicals, New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) and synthetic opioids, including fentanyl and its analogues for drug and chemical control officers. The project benefits the law enforcement community in Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay.
