Published purpose
This project seeks to improve the safety of men and women in response to drug-related crime in the Americas with a focus on Caribbean countries. Project activities include: (1) providing technical guidance to the National Drug Agencies of beneficiary countries on how to conduct a gap and institutional response analysis to inform the development of the National Drug Strategy (NDS) and National Plan of Action (NPA), incorporating a gender perspective; (2) delivering training to drug policymakers in National Drug Agencies on how to draft the NDS and NPA, incorporating a gender perspective; and (3) publishing a “Guide for Policymakers, Practitioners and Stakeholders on How to Develop a National Drug Policy” and disseminate to drug policymakers in National Drug Agencies in beneficiary countries. This project benefits National Drug Agencies, the law enforcement community, and more broadly men and women from the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Uruguay.
