International Crisis Group

Published purpose

With Canada’s support, International Crisis Group is supporting conflict stakeholders take effective action to prevent, mitigate, manage or resolve the effects of crises and conflicts. Project activities include: (1) producing independent reports and briefings on Canada’s priority conflict situations and on global trends; (2) producing short, rapid response pieces on evolving conflict and crisis situations and global trends; (3) convening in-depth policy discussions with conflict stakeholders; (4) undertaking targeted engagement with relevant interlocutors and policy makers, including Canadian officials, to promote International Crisis Group analysis and recommendations, with a view to shape the debate and mobilize political support; and (5) promoting and disseminating International Crisis Group’s results and data widely, including through podcasts, citations in international and local media outlets, and via social media channels.
