The objectives of the Canadian Microbiome Initiative 2 Research Teams funding opportunity are to: - Create knowledge through translational research on the causational links between microbiome and human health and disease, with consideration of sex as a biological variable and gender as a social determinant of health. - Encourage interdisciplinary collaborations and foster Canadian expertise in microbiome and human health and disease to build synergies, and facilitate the sharing of data and resources. - Build upon and further the platforms and services provided by the CMI2 Research Core to build synergies, facilitate the sharing of data and resources and facilitate knowledge translation
