Published purpose

This funding opportunity is expected to: •Increase capacity in patient-oriented research and support viable career paths in patient-oriented research by: ¿Leveraging and adding to existing patient-oriented research training opportunities and resources in order to guide individuals through personalized development paths in a systematic manner; ¿Coalescing the community of patient-oriented research leaders, mentors, coaches and trainees to share and innovate approaches to patient-oriented research capacity building; ¿Integrating patient-oriented research principles, practices, and findings within Canadian health care contexts by positioning future leaders in the patient-oriented research community, including but not limited to trainees, early career researchers, and implementation specialists (as defined above). ¿Incorporating Indigenous, Western, and other paradigms of patient-oriented research, training, mentoring, and leadership to enrich the training and career development of all participating trainees and mentors in a culturally safe manner.
