Published purpose

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are: -Accelerate the adaptation of GA4GH human genomic data sharing tools to species-agnostic genomic data sharing for application for SARS-CoV2; -Facilitate the implementation, adoption, and further refinement of the genomic and phenomic data sharing tools in the infectious disease community; -Streamline the development and set up of systems that use GA4GH host and pathogen standards to support COVID-19 data sharing within Canada; -Enable Canadian engagement and coordination in international rapid large-scale sharing of COVID-19 genomic research activities and networks; and -Support the generation of evidence to inform clinical and health system management and public health response, and/or decision-making and planning within and across jurisdictions in Canada and internationally.
