Published purpose
This project strengthens the stability, resilience, and well-being of people affected by the war in Ukraine—especially women, older persons, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups—by ensuring continued access to essential administrative, legal, psychosocial, medical, and social services. It supports local authorities, first responders, and communities in maintaining service delivery during crises and in frontline areas. Project activities include: (1) deploying and equipping mobile and modular service units, including ambulances, psychosocial support vehicles, home-care teams, and population aid points; (2) establishing public health and recovery centres and providing training to medical, psychosocial, legal aid, and emergency response personnel; (3) improving digital access to services through computer literacy centres, upgraded call centres, and online information platforms; and (4) supporting community-led safety, preparedness, and emergency awareness initiatives. The project benefits conflict-affected populations across the most impacted oblasts, including frontline, remote, and newly liberated areas, with a particular focus on women, older persons, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and communities facing disrupted access to public services.
