Published purpose

This project aims to enhance the technical skills of law enforcement officials of African Member States in conducting effective counter-terrorism investigations and addressing violent extremism, led by the United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT), in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The next 2 cycles of the Specialized Training on Counter Terrorism Investigations (STOCTI) will support an intelligence-led approach and robust investigative program for participating African law enforcement agencies and national academic institutions to fight the growing terrorist threats within their respective countries and develop a cohesive standardized response by advancing regional cooperation. This specialized training curriculum will be held in UNOCT Rabat Centre with the participation of up to 36 participants from at least 12 African Countries.
