Published purpose
• The CIHR Institute of Cancer (CIHR-ICR) will provide funding for applications that are determined to be relevant to its mandate: o The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) supports research that reduces the burden of cancer on individuals and families through prevention strategies, screening, diagnosis, effective treatments, psycho-social support systems, and palliation Bridge funding can be used at the NPAs discretion to catalyze work on their proposed project in the manner they feel best moves forward their research program, for example, collection of pilot data, demonstration of feasibility, or work to address peer review comments.
