Published purpose

This project helps the Senegalese Ministry of Education implement the Program for Improving the Quality, Equity, and Transparency of Education and Training (PAQUET-EF). The objective is to provide quality, equitable, and inclusive education to ensure all girls and boys can exercise their right to quality education and receive the basic education necessary to support economic growth and lay the groundwork for the structural transformation of the economy. The project also helps strengthen the integration of gender equality within the Ministry of National Education and improve sector management by making spending more efficient and transparent. This support positions Canada as a key partner in sectoral dialogue on education and governance in Senegal. Canada works closely with other donors and the Government of Senegal to promote effective, transparent, and accountable country systems. Increase donor coordination and harmonization and strengthen mutual accountability. This project also fosters greater policy dialogue among donors, government, and partners, which helps to strengthen efforts for effective, focused aid, and long-term development results. This project is continuously monitored and evaluated in coordination with other donors.
