Published purpose
The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to: • Build an evidence base on the effectiveness and efficiency of population-level interventions designed to reduce inappropriate antimicrobial use and prevent the spread of resistant pathogens in humans, animals and the environment; • Strengthen Canada’s interdisciplinary research capacity to evaluate population-level interventions to address AMR; and • Enable policy decisions within Canada to be informed by robust and timely evidence and best practice recommendations regarding population-level interventions to reduce antimicrobial use and prevent the spread of resistant pathogens.
