The IOM Global Appeal 2026 (EDRMS 12169334) sets out a prioritized, people-centred response to address rising humanitarian needs, displacement and unsafe migration worldwide. Aligned with IOM’s Strategic Plan 2024–2028 (EDRMS 12169347), the Appeal seeks to support 41 million people on the move and in host communities, while strengthening systems that enable safe, orderly and regular migration. In a context of conflict, climate shocks and protracted crises, IOM positions migration as part of the solution, delivering immediate assistance while building long-term resilience. The Global Appeal is structured around three strategic objectives: 1. Saving lives and protecting people on the move: IOM delivers life-saving humanitarian assistance and protection services to migrants and displaced populations, reducing risks along migration routes and ensuring access to essential services in crisis contexts. 2. Driving solutions to displacement: IOM advances durable, sustainable solutions by supporting resilience, addressing climate-related mobility, and enabling voluntary, safe and dignified return and sustainable reintegration, in partnership with governments and communities. 3. Facilitating pathways for regular migration: IOM expands safe and regular migration pathways by strengthening migration governance, labour mobility schemes and rights-based policies that reduce reliance on dangerous irregular journeys. Across all objectives, the Appeal emphasizes flexible funding, stronger data and coordination, and a route-based approach to deliver timely, efficient and accountable responses, while advancing the commitments of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration
