Published purpose
This project aims to review Indonesia’s existing strategy on de-radicalisation, prison policies, legislative frameworks, prison management and operation, to identify priority areas for enhancement. The next phase of this project will focus on the development of a national strategy on de-radicalisation in prisons and its implementation. Project activities include providing: (1) recommendations for legislative/regulatory reforms; (2) tools and manuals on de-radicalisation in prisons; (3) recommendations on how to improve priority aspects related to prison conditions that can be conducive to radicalisation; and (4) capacity-building programs.
