Published purpose

This project aims to deliver tailored capacity building support throughout Jordan’s security sector including the Public Security Directorate (PSD), Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), and Special Operations Forces (JORSOF)?to counter threats to Jordan’s security and stability,?including terrorism and illicit narcotics trafficking. Project activities include: (1)??delivering?trainings?and specialized equipment to the AND??to better?understand and counter the flow of narcotics emanating from Syria; 2) engaging with the PSD in the field of critical incident response, with the aim of??sustainable capability within the PSD beyond the Project’s life cycle; and (3) expanding ongoing support for JORSOF to continue its efforts to increase the integration of female soldiers into operational roles within its counterterrorism units, particularly in the areas of intelligence gathering and exploitation.?This project component is implemented by ARK Group DMCC
