Published purpose
October 2023 – In response to urgent and growing humanitarian needs in Gaza, the West Bank and neighbouring areas, Global Affairs Canada is contributing to the Interagency Flash Appeal, launched by the United Nations on 12 October, with new humanitarian funding allocations. With the support of GAC and other donors, United Nations Children's Fund provides critical humanitarian assistance, including protection, to children and families affected by the crisis. Project activities include the provision of: (1) providing water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); (2) providing psychosocial support and recreational activities; and (3) providing emergency supplies and learning kits for students.
