Published purpose
The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to: • Create a single federated pan-Canadian IYS data platform that is secure, scalable, and that supports harmonized measurement, data management, and data analyses. • Maintain data autonomy for individual sources while providing a unified view for users, enhancing scalability, flexibility, and efficiency in large and complex data environments. • Allow for the establishment of youth and community end-user priorities in data analysis and use, along with researchers, decisions-makers and other key health stakeholders. Comparison of disaggregated data may also facilitate the reporting of the Working Together plan’s shared health indicator on access to IYS services. • Provide tools to reliably extract knowledge from data that will ultimately allow stakeholders to have more timely, accurate, comprehensive and diverse information on youth mental health and substance abuse. • Develop a transparent, inclusive, equitable and robust governance framework that includes youth voices and ensures data sovereignty and safeguards sensitive data while enabling advanced analytics for system-wide service improvement and equity.
