Published purpose

This project aims to strengthen income generation and promote maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene, access to services, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in 14 municipalities in Chuquisaca, Bolivia. The project beneficiaries are primarily rural and indigenous women and men and municipal governments. Project activities include: (1) support for increasing family enterprise profitability; (2) adopting good health practices related to maternal and child health and SRHR; and (3) strengthening municipal governance in health and local economic development through improved management, coordination and leadership. Empowering rural and indigenous women in economic enterprise management is an important objective of the project.
