The Food Security and Climate Change in the Canadian North Initiative supports research focused on broadening our understanding of food security and climate change within the Canadian North and northern communities. Research areas include but are not limited to: • Climate change, climate adaptation, the environment and food systems • Food sovereignty and food governance related to Indigenous Peoples as rights holders, climate change and food security • Research and monitoring methodologies related to climate change and food security • Health, wellness, and nutritional status related to climate change and food security • Approaches, programs and policies to address food insecurity and climate change
