Published purpose

The IRN grant will: • Advance Inuit self-determination in research by strengthening and developing Inuit research capacity, governance, policies and practices, and work toward the ethical conduct of research for Inuit Nunangat research and data and information management processes; • Strengthen and promote Inuit-led research approaches, methodologies and epistemologies in various research fields and disciplines supported by the agencies; • Facilitate partnerships that promote and enable Inuit leadership in research by building awareness, understanding, and respect for Inuit research priorities across Inuit Nunangat; and • Build capacity by engaging Inuit and training Inuit researchers and knowledge holders who can lead and contribute to research and knowledge sharing.
