Published purpose
This project aims to strengthen Indigenous participation and leadership within Canada’s agricultural sector, directly supporting the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action #92, which urges meaningful inclusion of Indigenous Peoples in the economy. The Indigenous Ag Summit will bring together Indigenous farmers, ranchers, agri-business professionals, youth, and community leaders from across the country to share traditional knowledge, innovative practices, and collaboratively address challenges such as access to land, financing, markets, and resources. The Summit will deliver culturally relevant workshops, panel discussions, mentorship opportunities, and networking sessions tailored to Indigenous agricultural needs.
