Published purpose

Technical planning work to undertake a renewable solar energy generation and battery storage integration project that will supply clean power to the ATCO Beaver Creek diesel grid. The project also includes plans for a district heat system that will utilize waste heat from the diesel generators during low-solar, cold temperature months.This project will allow WRFNLP to complete the pre-construction phase of this initiative, including the engineering, the foundation and district heat design, as well as provide support to the proponent through the regulatory permitting and power purchase negotiation process
