Published purpose
The Mine Training Society (MTS) is receiving a non-repayable contribution of $1,250,000 (32% of total project costs) to complete a 5-year $3,912,994 project. Established in 1992, the MTS will provide training and employment programs to support Indigenous Groups (IGs) in the Northwest Territories. The focus is on addressing employment barriers and facilitating the transition from mine operations to remediation.
