Published purpose

The Research component of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Class Grant and Contribution Program to support Research, Awareness and Learning in Space Science and Technology provides financial support to organizations to conduct space related research and development in priority areas. It will support targeted knowledge development and innovation to sustain and enhance the Canadian capacity to use space to address national needs and priorities in the future. More specifically, this project entitled ""High Performance S/C-Band Transceiver"" has the objective to design and prototype small form factor, low power S/C-Band transceiver for communication with micro to nano satellite systems. Currently, there are limited capabilities covered by existing communication systems available on the market, whether domestic or foreign. With growing need for bandwidth and systems miniaturization, requirement arises to develop and provide suitable new technology to support high speed communications in these systems.
