Published purpose

This project entitled "" High-Fidelity Rover Missions at Mars Analogue Sites "" has the following objective (s): An international team made of Canadian scientists and students will investigate five (5) Mars analog sites on Earth (two (2) in Canada) that have similarities to Martian environment. The aim is to simulate High-Fidelity Rover Mars Missions whose rely on rock samples' collection and their return to Earth. Canadian students will be involved in all aspects of the missions, from planning to execution as well as further sample and data analysis. They will also work in close collaboration with Canadian industrial partners to advance the state-of-the-art instruments development that could potentially be used on future missions to other planets. The project will help training the next generation of Canadian students in all aspects of Mars exploration, paving the way for Canada to increase its involvement in Mars exploration and the search for life beyond Earth.
