Published purpose

The project « Behind the Scenes of Space » purpose is to design a space-themed virtual livestream field trip for young students (from kindergarten to grade 12) specific to Space Exploration. The main objectives are to highlight Canadian contributions to space exploration and innovation through engaging, interactive virtual trips that visit Canadian industries that are involved in these contributions in various ways (robotics, space exploration, science) and to generate interest and encourage youth to pursue studies and careers in space STEM programs. Participation in our virtual field trip will help encourage a new generation of Canadians to develop the skills that will allow them to be a part of Canada's space legacy, expand their scientific literacy, and contribute to the workforce of tomorrow. A recorded version will be made public and viewable to all Canadians.
