Published purpose
The scientific instruments on the CASSIOPE satellite each have unique and innovative measurement capabilities, for observing space weather in the upper atmosphere at unprecedented resolution. They have operated for 8 years since their launch in 2013, performing well beyond original expectations and the original 1-year design-life. This project aims to enhance and improve the CASSIOPE mission data reduction and visualization software, to further exploit the scientific potential of the mission data, by incorporating the lessons learned and scientific discoveries made to date, and making the data fully open access and the data access software more user-friendly.
