Published purpose

This project aims to support Nutrition International in conceptualizing and publishing a joint summative evaluation of its work over a 9-year time frame, from 2014 to 2023. Nutrition International is a Canadian not-for-profit organization and the world's leading organization in micronutrient supplementation. It is also Global Affairs Canada’s (GAC) largest implementing partner in global nutrition programming. Nutrition International supports and promotes micronutrient supplementation and food fortification in Asia and Africa and provides technical and operational support where micronutrient deficiency is most prevalent. The summative evaluation seeks to evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of Nutrition International’s nutrition programming and contribution to nutrition policy at the country and global levels. The report aims to provide GAC, Nutrition International and other key stakeholders an increased understanding of future institutional support to Nutrition International. Project activities include: (1) informing quality improvements to the design and delivery of Nutrition International’s nutrition programmes and policies; (2) informing GAC and other donors’ nutrition programming and decision-making; and (3) demonstrating accountability of Nutrition International’s program results to Canadian and global stakeholders.
