Published purpose

This project aims to reduce disparities in learning and academic achievement for girls from 6 to 12 years old in the first cycle of primary education in the regions of Mopti and Ségou. Project activities include: (1) providing conditional financial assistance to targeted vulnerable families to support girls’ education; (2) implementing innovative initiatives to improve the safety, protection and transportation of students, especially girls; (3) developing a digital teaching-support platform that has gender-sensitive educational and instructional tools and resources; and (4) holding training workshops for teachers on the content of a new curriculum and on inclusive and gender-responsive teaching. This project will benefit 44,500 people, including teachers, parents and community/religious leaders, 57% of them women.
