Published purpose

This project seeks to increase political empowerment and enjoyment of rights by women, particularly young and marginalized women, including those at risk in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It does so by enhancing the representation of the rights, interests, and needs of women and other marginalized communities in laws, policies, and programs. The project aims to create an enabling environment to increase women’s access to crucial resources and alleviate poverty. Project activities include: (1) providing technical assistance to Status of Women Committees to develop and enhance internal processes; (2) providing training and coaching to support programs, policies, budgets, and gender analysis; and (3) Identifying barriers and opportunities for women’s participation in democratic processes in target communities.
