World Organization for Animal Health

Published purpose

This project supports 3 international organizations to strengthen global resilience against agro-terrorism and agro-crime. This includes the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Project activities include: (1) assessing global threats, trends, and risks related to agro-terrorism and agro-crime; (2) preparing training and exercise materials on outbreak and emergency management; (3) implementing regional training workshops in high-risk areas; (4) developing a pilot exchange program on emergency management; and (5) creating a communication and coordination strategy to support project implementation.
