Published purpose

This project supports INTERPOL in implementing various initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of the international law enforcement community to address a wide range of terrorist threats involving chemicals and explosives. Project activities include: (1) developing capacity-building and training programs tailored to multiple agencies; (2) providing beneficiary countries with essential equipment and resources for responding to chemical and explosive incidents; (3) conducting cross-border operations to combat the illicit smuggling of chemical agents and improvised explosive devices used in terrorist attacks; and (4) planning and conducting a feasibility assessment to establish a centralized analytical platform on chemical and explosive supply chain trends.
