Published purpose

The project aims to reduce barriers to education for girls in crisis and conflict affected areas in Niger. It aims to improve access to and quality of education, and to build the capacity of the education system to better respond to the specific needs of girls and increase girls' retention in school, both at primary and secondary levels. Project activities include: (1) carrying out analyses on the prevalence and impact of gender-based violence among girls; (2) providing training on COVID-19 prevention and on the creation of personal hygiene supplies; and (3) creating and broadcasting messages on awareness and protection against COVID-19 via community radio stations.
