Published purpose
This project aims to improve access to education and learning opportunities for marginalized and vulnerable out of school children, especially girls, in South Sudan. Project activities include: (1) establishing 79 community schools in rural and remote communities which provide alternative primary education with a focus on life skills; and (2) providing training to women teachers on child centered, gender responsive and inclusive pedagogy, psychosocial support, and life skills. This project works to directly contribute to Canada’s G7 Charlevoix Declaration on Quality Education for Girls, Adolescent Girls and Women in Developing Countries.
