Published purpose

This contribution to the Sahel and West Africa Club (SWAC) seeks to promote regional policies to improve the socio-economic situation of the Sahel and West Africa populations. SWAC's activities include: (1) organizing forums and conferences between regional actors from the Sahel and West Africa, and member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on thematic and regional issues; (2) producing independent analyses based on the expertise of a broad network of researchers and partners on the Sahel and West Africa; and (3) developing strategies, guides and tools for better regional governance. The project's beneficiaries are both policymakers from the countries in the region and donors who benefit from detailed studies and analyses to guide their interventions.
