Published purpose
This project aims to improve protection for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals and communities across the Sahel against violence. Project activities include: (1) assessing organizational capacity gaps and implementing capacity building plans with existing organizations; (2) assessing work-related risks and developing and implementing security plans and crisis response mechanisms; and (3) training and funding existing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) organizations, new Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer (LBQ) and trans activists, and mainstream allies to provide recourse to human rights victims.
