Published purpose

Drawing on recommendations from the Vien Commission, Project Amishk will implement innovative activities and updated tools to strengthen services for Indigenous people in the criminal justice system. The project's objective is to build effective relationships and partnerships between the mainstream justice system and Indigenous communities. Project activities include workshops, knowledge building sessions and innovations focused on service delivery approaches and supporting Courtworkers in service delivery. In January 2019, the project will bring Courtworkers and experts to Québec City to with the goal of developing and enhancing the skills of those who deliver services.
