Published purpose

Yukon will undertake several activities over five fiscal years to advance victim services and access to justice for victims and their families. Planned activities include: implementing strategies to improve victim services accessibility for various populations; updating Victim Services Branch policies and procedures with legislation; implementing responsive victim services to remote communities and/or Aboriginal communities in Yukon; establishing coordinated services for victims of sexualized assault; developing training initiatives to strengthen the knowledge and capacity of victim service workers and other front line service providers working with victims of crime in Yukon; adapting practices of Canadian child advocacy centres in Yukon; and undertaking various activities and training to support the implementation of the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights.
