Published purpose
Just Cycle is a new pilot project developed by the WRENCH in partnership with the, Marymound School and the Knowles Centre to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of youth who are in conflict with the law and struggling with complex mental health issues, trauma, addictions and gang involvement. The project will deliver bicycle action therapy workshops to help youth build their self-confidence, provide them with employability skills and contribute to their physical and mental health benefits. Workshops will include mechanical, riding and volunteering activities where participants will learn how to build their own bicycles, ride them safely, and then use these new skills to give back to their communities. Over the course of Just Cycle, the WRENCH will also assist project partners in developing permanent in-house bicycle therapy resources that will continue after project completion.
