Published purpose
Cowichan Women Against Violence Society will develop and implement a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre in the Cowichan Valley (Duncan), BC. The centre will provide a multidisciplinary service to address the needs of child and youth victims of abuse cases and/or witnesses in the criminal justice system. The long-term outcome of this centre would be to minimize system-induced trauma by providing a single, child-friendly setting for young victims or witnesses and their families seeking services in the Cowichan Valley area.
