Published purpose
Yukon will deliver the Family Information Liaison Unit and will provide information and culturally-responsive and trauma-informed services for families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. In support of individual and family healing, a cultural supports program will be implemented, which will include a roster of elders, ceremony and knowledge keepers which will be made accessible to Indigenous families and victims of crime. The YK FILU will work in collaboration with the Yukon Aboriginal Women's Council (YAWC).
