This project will support victims and potential victims of extortion in British Columbia lower mainland, particularly in Abbotsford and Surrey within the South Asian community. It will provide four additional victim service and community outreach workers to assist the BC Extortion Task Force and local police. The project also includes developing and translating public resources (webpages, safety planning tools) to improve cultural relevance and accessibility. The goal is to increase victim support capacity and enhance resources over a 16-month period.
