Published purpose

The project will address gaps in family justice by providing targeted supports for children and youth to improve access to family justice information and services. It will offer mental health assessments, therapeutic programming, and trauma-informed workshops on topics like healthy relationships and coping with separation. Services will be tailored to diverse communities, including Indigenous, newcomer, rural, Francophone, and 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, with staff reflecting these groups. To improve access to family justice and address the lack of awareness of existing services, the project will also expand the Family Law Manitoba website, translate key materials, offer presentations to community leaders, and provide interpretation services and computer kiosks for families navigating the system.
